The Living Room Revisited
I guess I’m more than a little nervous about the Phillips’ visit. I’ve had Blake hitting the Honey-Do list pretty hard every weekend. And I have not been idle.
I’ve been staring at the living room. I think we need a new futon cover. And new chairs. I’m thinking about some of those retro chairs like I’ve seen online.
It might be time to update the living room. I mean I think these chairs are probably considered “retro” now but they are survivors from the first round of popularity.
For the futon cover, something vibrant. Something that really pops. On the other hand I remember the orange shag carpet we had as a kid. I think my mom probably bought it at a time when she wanted something vibrant in the house….. I hated that carpet.
It’s still a few weeks before the visit, so I don’t need to do anything rash. I’ll flip through a few more catalogs while Blake paints the bathroom. (I’m joking! I’m going to help him paint the bathroom.)
