Electric treadmills can seem like a great opportunity to improve your health, get a good exercise indoors, learn to walk again if you are handicapped, or just maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, there are serious things to consider before and during the purchase of a treadmill.

In the Army, treadmills are recommended for those who have adequate muscle and cardiovascular abilities, but lack a good pace to complete their physical training tests. Treadmills are also recommended often for individuals recovering from surgery that need to relearn walking and running. Most commonly though, treadmills are used as a low stress exercise for those that can’t suffer high impact on certain parts of their body.
